McLaren Automotive was placed on the map with the F1 and the 12C was their next production car project that followed 3 years later.
The engine is a mid mounted 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 that delivers 616 bhp and 443 lb-ft of torque coupled with 7 speed dual clutch transmission. The 12C lives up to the McLaren name with an extremely fast 0 to 60 acceleration of 2.9 seconds and is able to reach a top speed of 207 mph. Like with the F1, carbon fibre is used extensively both on the body and chassis to reduce weight. The central seating has been replaced with a traditional side by side configuration. The 12C is also available in the convertible spider model and has been decorated with multiple awards.
With McLaren's tenacity for pushing the boundaries of automotive technology, they continue to rise above the competition
